Classroom visits are flexible, ranging from twice weekly to monthly, and services can be short-term (3-4 months) or ongoing for lasting impact. Our workshops are divided into three focused parts: Part 1: Foundations of Learning and Behavior Deepen your understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental challenges. Learn the foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and the functions of behavior. Explore practical ways to apply ABA principles in the classroom. Gain confidence in addressing parent questions about ABA practices. Part 2: Effective Teaching Strategies Using Behavior Analysis Learn to assess student skills when prerequisites for the general curriculum are challenging. Develop measurable and observable IEP goals tailored to student needs. Understand and implement evidence-based teaching methods like Discrete Trial Training and Task Analysis. Master effective data collection methods to track student progress. Part 3: Managing Challenging Behaviors in the Classroom Identify and understand the functions of challenging behaviors. Use indirect and direct assessments to hypothesize behavior functions. Implement antecedent strategies and matched behavioral interventions to address behaviors effectively. Develop data-driven, function-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and monitor their success. While our workshops focus on students with Autism and related disorders, the strategies provided can be broadly applied to support all students with behavioral or developmental challenges.
